Never say “later” or “tomorrow”, because 99% of the time, I wont do it.
If it can be done within 5 minutes. Than DO IT. =)

I think that I am too fixated to my role as a web designer. I don’t wanna see myself as just a designer. I spend most of my time training in camp, but I don’t see myself as a soldier as much as a web designer. I still try to think of ideas for my projects whenever I’m free – and sometimes even during training
.
I think I should spend more time exploring my other roles – as a solider , a fighter, a good son, a romantic lover , a playful guy, a movie fan. The reason why I see myself more as a web-designer is because it is the role I am most proficent in and it is also my income generating role. If I keep focusing on my role as a web designer, I would become an excellent web designer, but I would probably stagnant and stop growing as a person. Just like how some people succeed in their career, but fail terribly in other areas of their life.
I don’t wanna be like that, I want to do well in other areas of my life as well.

Having been in the army for almost a year, I’ve seen my share of good and bad commanders. The kind of leader that inspires me the most are those willing to stay on the ground to brave the storm with their man. Its inspiring to see a senior commander out in the rain doing the things we do. I’ll be comissioned in 2 months time and our instructors are starting to nag us to think of the kind of commander we wanna be after we comission.
I respect the warrant officers in AE alot. I respect them for their knowledge, patience and willingness to stay on the ground with us. Ever since our first day in AE, they’ve never punished or scolded us at all, even when we make mistakes or start to get sloppy, but we still respect them alot more than bad tempered commanders who flare up easily and try to micro manage us with fear. I find it easier to work with commanders like them.
Thats also the kind of commander I wanna be in the future. A commander willing to go through shit with his platoon, at the same time knowledgeable and patient.
I can smell the parade square.

It isn’t easy to acknowledge the truth of our power. Too often we fear our own greatness. We pretend to be powerless, mistakenly thinking that this somehow frees us from the responsibility of power.

Today, I went ice skating with my sis and KS at Kallang. It had been more than a year since i last skate hugged the wall and tried to move on the ice. Fell down a few times and sustained a few cuts on my leg (scratched by the blades I wore). I wouldn’t had those cuts if I wore jeans instead of quarter pants.
Anyway, this is the first time my sis tried ice-skating, I think its pretty memorable for her, especially the blister she had because of the tight skates.
