Time really flies when I’m in the army. I’m out again.
Heres how I spent my week…
Mon – Fri
- Me and my army buddy (Sze Lie) got Silver for our IPPT, just abit more to getting gold.
- Got to become Platoon IC, quite a tough job. Especially for someone who doesn’t know his footdrills well
- Learnt lots of stuff
- Had a flu
Fri
- Booked out quite early
- Played pool at Mambo with my buddies at night
- Met Karen outside Mambo, she’s still as cute and sweet as ever
- Slept in the car while my friends went to play LAN after that, really too tired to even think properly
Sat
- Slept for more than 12 hours. I really need the rest!
- Improved NextShow.sg’s design, making it neater, more user friendly and intuitive. Go check it out!
- Had a nice dinner at some eating house at Ten Mile Junction
- Watched Hancock through the PipiPlayer
Sun
- Mum made lots of good food, thanks Mum!
- Booking in later at 7PM

Just booked out from Tekong chalet 12 hours ago. Army wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’m posted to Yankee Company. My platoon mates are a bunch of really fun people. Training was tough, but quite fun la.
The cup noodle parties, talking cock after lights out, shouting like retards, laughing at the GBCs (garang blur cocks). NS wouldn’t be fun without my platoon mates
I miss my family and friends alot while in camp. After showering, washing my clothes, lining them out to dry and tidying my stuff, i usually have very little time left to sms and call my family and friends. So I’ll usually just send an sms to tell them that I’m alright la.
We always have funny looking insects flying around our bunk la. The mosquitoes there are dam fit, very hard to kill, have to whack very hard.
A few days ago, some insect flew into our bunk. It was a very huge insect and it looked dangerous la. So we decided to capture it. Imagine 10 guys running around with brooms and pails trying to catch an insect. We caught the insect in the end. It was just some huge beetle. We released it.
The food sucks 70% of the time. What I like is that we get to listen 987fm while having our meals. I get to listen to my favourite songs most of the time
I think thats all I can write about my NS life. I don’t think I am allowed to blog too much about my training there, so thats it la.. good night everyone
And to the special someone:
Karen, thanks for the sweet smses, you never fail to make my day
